What We Believe

Our Mission

To care for the physical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of all by fulfilling the biblical command to, "Love Your Neighbor" by serving the poor without regard to personal belief or background. We believe in just knowing there are people willing to support you is an inspiration to change.

Statement of Faith

We Believe in God the Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth

1 Corinthians 8:6,

"For there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live."

Jesus was with God from the Beginning of Creation

John 1:1-4,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men."

It is Faith in Jesus as the Lamb of God that Saves Us

Romans 10:9,  "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

2 Corinthians 5:17-18,  "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation."

1 Peter 3:18,  "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

Ephesians 2:8-9,  "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast."

The Holy Spirit of God Leads Us and Convicts Us

John 14:26,  "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

John 16:8,  "When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment."

We Believe in Baptism by Immersion

Matthew 28:19-20,  "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

baptizo (bap-tid'-zo); to immerse, submerge; to make overwhelmed

We are to Honor God with Our Lives

Romans 12:1-2,  "Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

We Believe the Complete Bible as the Inspired Word of God

1 Timothy 1:8,  "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly."

2 Timothy 3:16-17,  "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

The Greatest Commands

Matthew 22:37-40,  "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second like it; 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments."
