Parables

Matt 13:10 The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"

11 He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. NIV

Things in the bible are not always as they appear. It’s the difference between seeing someone from the outside (the flesh), versus seeing their heart. The word of God is the same.

Isa 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts. NKJV

The Word of God is a Mystery from the beginning in Genesis, to the book of Revelations. The stories found in the Old Testament Scriptures are the same stories found in the New Testament. It’s a puzzle. You have to uncover the pieces from the Old Covenant connect them to the corresponding pieces throughout the scriptures, finding the fulfillment when they are combined. It's a Mystery that only the creator of Heaven and Earth could have put together.

Tale of two covenants

Matt 13:52 "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like

the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old." NIV

The words Parable and Proverbs are the same Hebrew word. The Scriptures are seen from two perspectives. From the natural, which is the intent of the Parables and mysteries of the scriptures. It’s the message beneath the message you are seeking. That’s the difference between Jesus and Nicodemus. Nicodemus only understood the literal interpretation of the scriptures, the literal story. Jesus is teaching the same Torah from the Spiritual level, pointing to the covenant of faith. Two different teachings.

The mystery would only be discovered with the teachings of Jesus, sharing the secrets with his disciples. He adds the final clues in the Gospels to combine the Old with the New covenants to complete the Scriptures. Leave nothing to coincidence. Leave no stone unturned. These are two sticks combined.

Clues; Types/shadows/symbolism

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual… NKJV

The Scriptures uses nature to explain the Spiritual, Mountains, Plains, Valleys, Rivers, Oceans and Seas, Trees, plants and Vineyards, clean and unclean animals, the sun, moon and stars. All have spiritual significance.

The Cloud represents Concealment, God spoke from a cloud, Jesus kept his identity hidden, until it was time to reveal himself. This is what you look for in the scriptures.

Nearly every name and location in the scriptures are in the Hebrew words. The words must be broken down from the ‘Transliterated’ Hebrew words (Replacing the Hebrew letters with the corresponding English letter) that are still in the bible, and finding the translated word. A Hebrew and Greek dictionary are crucial to uncovering the true meaning of scripture. This is how the Two covenants come together.

Prov 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: 2 To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding, 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; 4 To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion — 5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,

6 To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. NKJV

Proverb/Parable - mashal - superiority in mental action; properly, a pithy maxim, of metaphorical nature;

Enigma - meliytsah an aphorism (*saying, cliché); also a satire:

A note to keep in mind. There is much potential for deeper studies than what you will find at this website. The bible speaks for itself. Understanding the Hebrew connection is key to understanding the scriptures. Keep an open mind, watch out for opinions not backed up by the scriptures.
