The Cloud

The ‘Cloud’ is Spiritual; It represents concealment, to act covertly. Until the time to be revealed.

God spoke ‘out of the cloud.’ Jesus only revealed his identity to his disciples. Those who cared for his needs would not reveal his identity. People he healed were told not to reveal his identity. He hid himself in a crowd. He acted covertly.

The Perpetual Generation, one that is never ending;

The fourth Generation promised to Abraham. Matthew Chapter One.

Gen 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete." NKJV

Matt 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations. NKJV

Three ‘Generations’ point to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The fourth generation begins with the New Covenant believers.

The Rainbow in the Cloud

In the natural, the Rainbow is Gods reminder of his covenant for his people.

In the Spirit, the ‘Bow’ in the cloud represents the Bow (and arrow) for warfare.

It is the ‘Cloud of witnesses’ that came out of the grave at Jesus death.

Matt 27:51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. Jesus was taken up to heaven, and a ‘Cloud’ hid him. He returned as the Holy Spirit, working covertly among his people.

Acts 1:9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." NIV

The two covenants;

Pillar of fire by night: His word is a light to our feet on Earth.

Pillar of cloud by day: Jesus walking among his people.

Ex 13:21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people. Lev 16:2 "Tell your brother Aaron not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud over the atonement cover. NIV

Ps 105:39 He spread out a cloud as a covering, and a fire to give light at night. NIV
